FAQ's
The ultimate difference is in the material composition. Standard Microcement’s main component is cement, which requires sealers to make it waterproof and durable. Forcrete has a resin hybrid formulation, which every layer is 100% waterproof. It has been designed to be a more resilient/durable material, to withstand impact and high traffic.
Absolutely. Shower floors, walls, ceilings – any surface of your bathroom can be finished in our products. With a lifetime water-damage warranty, this is the only material on the market that is perfectly safe for wet environments. And yes, this includes steam showers and saunas.
Our finishes are troweled on as a continuous, seamless surface. Multiple layers have to be installed over the course of several days, 2-7 depending on the finish selected.
Even with many layers, the total build up is only 3mm thick.
We would not recommend exterior use in northern climates. Harsh changes in temperature may result in significant contraction/expansion of substrates, which is not suitable for long-lasting results. While selective application is possible, we would advise to limit use to southern climate conditions. The installation must be protected from the elements during installation and curing.
